Giovannis Restaurant in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario is one of those restaurants that everyone in town knows about and usually gets a good meal and service.

Italian food is the specialty here. Good family dining with respectable service. In my opinion it has slipped a bit during the past year, but it still provides a pretty good dining experience for a smaller city.

Yes I know, lots of people in "the Soo" claim that Sault Ste Marie restaurants have the best Italian food you can get. But, that depends on your perspective. If you've ever been to Chicago for example, there are numerous fine Italian dining experiences that are on a completely different level.

But, back to Giovannis. Tender ribs, respectable veal parmiagiana, and a wide variety of family style pasta will send you away content with your choice. Sometimes the service could be a little better, but that seems to be a trend with a lot of service businesses in Canada lately.
