Gliss Restaurant - Sault Ste Marie
Gliss Restaurant in Sault Ste Marie Ontario is a great addition to the culinary scene. Gliss is an upscale dining experience located in what used to be an old German clock shop.
It's great to see a different menu and atmosphere instead of the same old Italian menus that dominate Sault Ste Marie's restaurants. Gliss Restaurant has had mostly positive comments, as well as a few negative ones from locals. My impression is that most of the negative comments are due to people expecting a traditional Italian meal, or something less expensive. Not that the place is expensive, but it does cost a little more than many of the mid-level establishments.
During our recent visit we sampled the "dim sum appetizer", as well as the salmon entree. It was an excellent meal, and the service was very good. There were a wide variety of interesting choices on the menu, and it will take several trips to sample them all.

I along with my wife, her sister and husband and the inlaws came to town to go on the Agawa Canyon tour. We were a little lost for a good restaurant so we googled a little and read on few places. And as well looked at the Sault guide. We decided on your Gliss restaurant. We were given the boardroom to dine in which was very quaint and private, we enjoyed that. We six are not hard to please and I can tell you even the hard to please would have been pleased. Everything from the service ambiance to food prepartation and presentation was perfect. The server was super, very pleasant, very helpful and great sense of humor. Thank you very much for a great dining experience in SSM.
